Muffler kit for ARO AFX marine piston pumps. The kit includes a reducing elbow, a long nipple and a muffler for the air exhaust.
WHERE TO BUY?
The ARO 67445-4 AFX muffler kit carries an application listing of marine pump and equipment. It contains three items: a reducing elbow, a long nipple and the muffler. On a pump driven by an air motor, a muffler quiets exhaust air as it leaves the motor.
The reducing elbow and long nipple supply the fittings needed to mount the muffler at the exhaust. Replacing all three together avoids pairing a new muffler with tired fittings. Each pump on the list below belongs to the AF1020 or AF1044 group.
Why Replace the Muffler
- Exhaust noise around the pump has grown louder.
- The muffler is clogged, which can choke exhaust flow and slow the pump.
- Fittings show corrosion after long service in a marine setting.
