WHERE TO BUY?
The ARO 61879 Muffler Kit is sized at 2 in OD, per its spec notes. A muffler sits on the air exhaust of an air operated pump and cuts the noise of air leaving the motor on each shift. No muffler material or element type is listed in our data.
This kit appears in the parts data for two pumps. One is the 612041-3, a drum pump for oil, and the other is the 612042-1. Measure the old muffler if you are unsure, since the 2 in OD is the one dimension we can confirm. Replacing a muffler is usually a quick job and does not require opening the air motor.
When to Use This Kit
- Exhaust noise from the pump has become noticeably louder.
- A clogged muffler is choking the exhaust and the pump cycles sluggishly.
- The muffler body is cracked or has come loose from the exhaust port.
