The ARO 637541-2-N provides a stainless steel valve block for 1" Compact and EXP series ARO pumps, with no coil included. The spec notes describe it as a conversion kit for taking a 1" pump from PD to PE.
Leaving the coil out means you choose the electrical part separately. Once a suitable coil is mounted, the solenoid opens and closes the air path on command, and the pump strokes when the control signal tells it to.
