ARO 637128-C44-B Lower Pump End Kit, V- and W-Packing
Lower pump end kit with V-packing, W-packing and wiper for ARO piston pumps in the AF0813 and AF1020 lines
ARO 637128-C44-B rebuilds the lower end of AF0813 and AF1020 piston pumps. It combines V-packing and W-packing with a wiper and U-cup package.
Rebuild the lower end of an ARO piston pump with ARO 637128-C44-B. This version uses both V-packing and W-packing, and the spec notes also list a cotter pin, snap ring, gasket, wiper and U-cup package. Like the other kits in this group, it is marked for marine pump/equipment.
Stacked packings form the main seal around the pump rod, so fluid moves forward on each stroke instead of slipping past. The wiper strips residue from the rod as it returns. The C44-B notes do not mention a guide or a separate rod seal.

- Leakage past the packings has become steady instead of occasional.
- The pump no longer holds pressure when stalled against a closed valve.
